Product Features
eMedia is the perfect tool for graphic, magnetic, and electronic personalization of plastic cards, in a WYSIWYG environment.
eMedia facilitates the design and the printout of all your cards:
Company cards for employees and visitors,
Security cards,
Business cards,
Membership cards,
Loyalty cards,
etc.
eMedia gives you the ability to instantly build a source of different card layouts for all purposes.
Supplied in its Standard edition, eMedia can be upgraded to Professional or Expert editions for connections to standard databases, such as Oracle™, Microsoft™ SQL Server™, Microsoft™ Access™ and ODBC compliant databases (Sybase™, IBM DB2™, Microsoft™ Excel™, etc) and to gain access to number of advanced functions, including the internally managed Mifare cards encoding, or the readout of the 125 KHz RFID tags.
In its Standard edition, the “demo” mode allows you to instantly activate the Professional and Expert editions so as to give you the possibility to test all its advantages.
eMedia supports standard technologies for image acquisition: Twain™, WIA (under Windows™ Me and Windows™ XP). For devices not provided with standard Twain™ or WIA drivers, eMedia is able to check out the contents of the folder of the hard disk linked to the device.
eMedia can be expanded with plug-ins, and the edit process can be controlled by a third-party program or document, such as a Microsoft™ Excel™ Worksheet, a Microsoft™ Access™ application or an HTML page.
eMedia fully supports the CoolReader™ technology to display the card corresponding to the one read by a barcode reader, a magnetic strip reader or a Mifare card serial number. This can be useful for checking the card’s holder.
Elements on the card can be automatically calculated, as eMedia incorporates an expression evaluator.
eMedia can print your card, encode the magnetic strips (ISO and non-ISO tracks 1, 2 and 3, JIS Type-II), encode the smart card and encode the contactless card in only one single operation. The card is printed in less than 30 seconds, allowing just-in-time printing.
